A New Nephew and More San Antonio

In February we took a short trip to San Antonio for the birth of our new nephew, Gabriel. It's always great to visit with family, but we also took a quick driving trip through the Texas hill country and of course ate a lot of tacos. Here are a few pictures from our brief stay in the Alamo City:

First tacos of the trip, straight from the airport - Torchy's tacos!
Doing "itsy bitsy spider" with Alex. He seems uninterested...
Dang Paul and his easily pronounceable name!

Alex learning his shapes and letters.
Baby shower gifts for the couple!
Cake time!
Prost! A lot of German immigrants came to the area near San Antonio and Austin in the 1800s.
Downtown Fredericksburg.
More tacos... breakfast tacos this time!
"Interesting" decorations at a restaurant in Fredericksburg.
Driving through hill country.
Driving over a river on the back roads.
Nice scenery in hill country, even though the trees hadn't filled in yet.
Time to try out "puffy" tacos, a San Antonio specialty.
Kids never get how these work...
Puffy tacos are good, but super greasy.
There were literally thousands of grackles flocking around.
Dena with baby Gabe!
David and Gabe.
Adorable!
Brothers meeting for the first time.
Paul found a powered coaster! Not a credit.
See ya later, San Antonio!
