Back in February we went to Dallas and Fort Worth for a weekend to visit our friends Lindsay and Casey.
Dallas is an interesting city. It has some things in common with Atlanta - warm weather, traffic jams, sprawling suburbia, and a re-bounding city core. Really it's hard not to compare the two cities, but we tried to just enjoy Dallas on its own merits. We had some delicious food, checked out several great neighborhoods, and went to a few museums.
Some highlights include the Fort Worth Water Gardens, the Perot Science Museum, Mia's Tex Mex, Pecan Lodge BBQ, and Torchy's tacos. Apparently, designer cookie ice cream sandwiches are en vogue in the Big D, so we sampled the local dessert scene whenever possible.

Delicious meat at Pecan Lodge BBQ. We lined up an hour before they opened to make sure we got some! |

Klyde Warren Park. Built over a freeway. Some new towers nearby and food trucks. |

Just a T.Rex stealing the museum. Nothing to see here. |
